Consent and Waiver information

1-1 Consultation
It is very important that there is clarity within your answers and you give as much detail as possible to the questions asked relating to your dog’s behaviour or medical history. This will enable a thorough training plan to be designed and the training classes to run smoothly.

The trainer MUST be made aware of any behaviours that may be a risk to the public’s safety. Inc. Aggressive behaviour

Any undeclared behaviour issues could disrupt the dogs learning and be a risk to the safety of the dog, handler, trainer and the public.

Aggressive Behaviours:

It is important to understand that aggression in dogs can be sudden and unexpected. It is a natural reaction and can be caused by a multitude of factors. Things to be aware of

  • Any animal who is aggressive for any reason can do serious damage and harm causing injury (including fatal injury), to other animals, to other people and to you.

  • Treatment for aggressive behaviour is an inexact science, and it is impossible to insure or guarantee that any pet including yours will not cause harm in the future.

  • If you choose to seek training help for aggression problems in your pet, it will be your responsibility to take appropriate precautions to prevent your pet from causing harm to others.
These precautions may include, but are not limited to, informing people of your pet’s tendency for aggressive behaviour, keeping your pet on a leash, muzzled or with a head collar, and/or keeping your pet restrained behind doors, gates, or fencing.

  • It is your responsibility to be aware of and to comply with all council and government guidelines concerning aggressive animals. Seek Dangerous Dog Act 1991. If your pet exhibits aggression and it causes harm in the future, you may be held liable for such harm.

Video’s and Photo’s

In most cases, it will be helpful to take video and/or photos of your pet(s).  I request this because they are the best way to see the behaviours that concern you within the context of everyday life. They are also brilliant tools for progress reflection.

  • Your dog will not be put in a stressful or dangerous situation, purely to gain footage of the behaviour.

  • Sessions may be recorded; you will be able to have accesses to these upon request.

  • Pictures and Videos may be used in future as advertisement on social media.

Payment & Refunds
Payments for sessions can be paid via Cash, Paypal or Bank Transfer and should be made within 24 hours of the session. Failure to pay will prevent further sessions being booked.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances where the session must be cancelled before starting or stopped part way through, an attempt must be made by the trainer to provide the client with the intended information in an alternative way. If unable to do so, the subject of a refund would be considered at that time but is not certain.

Sessions that have been attended are not subject to refund.
Prepayments can be made for future sessions. Prepaid Sessions that have to be cancelled should be rearranged for another suitable time, If this is not possible a refund will be available.
